Exhibit 10: Web-Service for Assembly Sequence Planning

TU-Chemnitz presents a web-service for automatic generation of assembly sequences. The service calculates feasible assembly sequences from CAD product models uploaded by the customer. Customers can interact with the service through modern, secure web browsers to interactively visualize product configurations and computed assembly plans. Assembly strategies and target robot cell layout can be customized online. The resulting assembly sequence is illustrated in a tree structure which is provided to the user as an image or XML-file in an e-mail, or it can be downloaded manually. Thus the service allows verification of product design regarding feasibility of assembly without need for local investment in high-end computing hard- and software.
