Exhibit 01: CAD-based one-of-a-kind production

KUKA and DLR demonstrate novel one-of-a-kind production showcasing riveting of profiles used for assembling grippers for the automotive industry, a process that is performed manually today. The riveting positions for each of the bars are unique which requires program adaptation for each product. The needed information is automatically determined from CAD data and no manual programming is required. The system is based on the LBR iiwa and therefore allows for safe human-robot-collaboration and flexibility.
